standards might be higher. I was embarrassed for
them.

I am a big fan of their music, but find them extremely

hypocritical, especially Don Henley who is always
pontificating about greed, lack of ethics and account-
ability. (Aren't there lines in "End of the lnnocence"
about "lawyers" and "lies" in a previous White
House?). Then he turns around and raises tons of
money forthe Sleazebag-in-Chief in this White House'

money and Henley has probably raised a great deal for his wwP this way.
It,s also an easy gig. The companies take care of the majority of the costs.
Of course, playing these gigs does run the risk of losing face with
the fans. These are private shows and fans can't get in. The wall street
Journal asked lrving Azoff about this. He replied, "l don't think fans care.
When you can hear th; Rolling Stones in a Microsoft Commercial what fan
would think less of sting for playing for Nomura securities (Japan's largest
brokerage house which has paid over $500,000 for a private Eagles show)."

invite you to share yours. Believe us, we understand. we don't expect any
band to not be in it for the money. Thinking that is unrealistically idealistic.
It,s okay to play these corporate gigs and if they help raise money for a
charity, that's even better. what doesn't sit right with us, though, is the fact
that recently, it seems like Don H. has been on an anti-big business kick At

onstage, singing the praises of small-businessmen and decrying the loss of
