CONSTRUCTION ANNOUNCEMENT
Pelham Road between Wick and Ecorse Roads
Thank you for your patience while we make important improvements
to Pelham Road in the cities of Taylor and Allen Park.
WHATS BEING DONE?
Capital improvements to Pelham Road
between Wick Road and Ecorse Road in
Taylor and Allen Park include road
resurfacing, concrete pavement repairs,
sidewalk ramps, signing and pavement
markings.
WHEN WILL WORK TAKE PLACE?
Construction will begin on Monday, June 26
and the road work is estimated to be
completed by October, barring any
unforeseen delays or inclement weather.
Restoration of grass will be completed as
weather allows.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Construction barrels will be placed on the
side of the road during the week of June
17. Communities should expect a typical
work day to begin at 7 a.m. and end at
approximately 7 p.m. One lane of traffic in
either direction will be maintained at all
times. However, intermittent stoppages in
traffic may be encountered and reduced
speeds will be posted.
Flaggers may be present to direct traffic as
needed during construction. Please use
caution when driving through the work
zone.
WHAT IF I HAVE A SPRINKLER
SYSTEM?
If you have a sprinkler system on your
property and are along the project corridor,
you are asked to identify and clearly stake
the locations of the system (heads, valves,
and underground lines) or any other
underground utilities that are not part of
the MISS DIG program. You can contact
