1. Dont water more than twice per week. (1 inch per week)
Use a lawn watering gauge
2. Water deeply when you do water.
3. Make your lawn of low water use turf (i.e., Bermuda, Zoysia)
4. Dont mow too low leave about 1.5 inches of grass.
5. Dont over-fertilize.

Other Conservation Tips
OUTSIDE:
1. Do not clean the driveway & sidewalk with water.
2. When washing the car, use a cut-off attachment while
you are soaping the car. Dont let the hose run!
3. Set your sprinkler system to water between sundown and
10:00 AM.
4. Inspect the sprinklers, to make sure they are providing
proper coverage. Repair or adjust faulty ones.
5. Select large droplet sprinklers.
6. Use mulch on all landscape areas.

INSIDE:
1. Wash clothes only when you have a full load, or use the small
load setting when appropriate.
2. Use faucet aerators.
3. Check for toilet, faucet and shower leaks.
4. Turn off water while brushing teeth or shaving.
5. Turn off shower while soaping.
6. Use low water consumption appliances.
