As usual, the magnificent hall of the Milan Marriot Hotel has hosted the exhibition of the Italian Knifemakers
Guild with around seventy experts from all over the world ready to display their works. The quality level of the
knives in display was truly remarkable that left dreaming eyes to many passionate. Here is an overview of the

Bruno Bruna Graciut, Rads , San-Mai
damascus by Dario Dichiara for the blade,
wax-casted guard, black brier-root handle.
Insert and pommel are in mammoth ivory,
and the sheath is made of leather and
macassar ebony. The scrimshaw on the back

LAlbatros by Antonio Farina is a lively

liner-lock with a blade in carbon damascus
by Camillo Silvano, bolster in scraped Aisi
304. The handle is in white mother-pearl,
and the spine and frame are in titanium.

The Tanto Folder by Mauro Bonassi is

a robust liner-lock with a blade in a
nice San-Mai damascus by Corrado
Gianferrari and a mammoth ivor y
handle. Bolster and spine of the knife

Flavio Poratelli's Integrale Porachute,

has a desert ironwood handle

It's a work of art by Mario Peddiu this foldable

dagger with a blade in Rwl-34 and handle in 416
steel with interframes in blacklip, goldlip and
brownlip. A nice blue titanium frame defines the
bolsters

Sergio Ramondetti's
Chiudibile, is a lock-back
with a Rwl-34 steel blade,
b o l s t e r i n d a m a s c u s by
Luca Pizzi, and the handle
is a Gold mother-pearl.
The screws are gold and
the liners in titanium. Total
length: 170 mm

Vincenzo Apostoli's Daga Fantasy, has a

C55Si18 steel blade, the handle is made
of bone with milled and cast-wax bronze
castings. Total length: 550 mm

Alexandre Musso presented this simple

but yet elegant liner-lock with a blade in
damascus by Musso himself and a handle
in desertwood. Total length: 220 mm

Alex Gev's Imperator, has a blade Rwl-34,

Designed with food in mind, the Steak-set
by Juergen Schanz, is made of a fork and a
knife. The steel is the German Niolox, and
the handles are in a robust G10
handle in 420 steel with 22 carat gold
and 950 silver inserts. The engravings,
that depict a samurai, are made by Gev,
as well as the system used to open and

For his liner-lock Jupiter, Koji Hara has

chosen his preferred steel, the stainless
Cowr y-Y which preser ves an excellent
cutting edge and mirror-polished surface.
