NETWORK VERSION
When the installation is completed, in Program files folder will create the
RFSSizer folder. The folder will include the RFSSizer.exe program and the
rfssizer.ini file (explanation follows). :
Starting the rfssizer.ini file (to administrator's care): The rfssizer.ini file
has to be configured if the program is used on the lan and the ACTUATORS.MDB file
is in a shared folder on the server.
In this case, the rfssizer.ini must have the following format:
[database]
dbpath=Data Source=\\server\rfssizer\actuators.mdb
Where server is the name of the computer server and rfssizer is the name of the
shared folder on the server that contains the data bases: ACTUATORS.MDB.
After being configured, the rfssizer.ini file has to be copied in the system folder
that usually is C:\WINDOWS for systems with Win98, Win ME e Win XP and C:\WINNT for
systems with Win NT 4 or Win 2000.
It is suggested to UNINSTALL the older version of RFSSizer before install the new
version (see UNINSTALL).
If the RFSSizer is installed on a computer with Win 98, Win ME or Win NT 4, you
have to install the MDAC drivers (if they have not already been installed) to
access the database ACTUATORS.MDB.
If you need to have the MDAC drivers or the RFSSizer with MDAC drivers, ask the
people indicated in the Technical support section.
The account that uses the program must have the complete access to the
c:\RFSSizer folder.
In case of lan installation, the account that uses the program must have the
complete access to the lan folder that contains the ACTUATORS.MDB data base (see
"use rfssizer.ini file above").
If the program is configured to be used on the lan, but the computer is not
connected to it, the program does not work.
It is important to remind to copy the sizing data that have been created (excel
documents) on the lan folder in order to share them with the other users.
On the upper toolbar of the program's form, you can see which database you are
using, either the one on the lan or the one on the computer.
