LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Gain a familiarity with the basic concepts, terminology and technology of e-government
Describe the main components of e-government and place those components into a broader
socio-political framework
Identify and describe the various areas of implementation of e-Government
Examine the potential benefits of, and constraints faced by key e-government initiatives
Develop skills to critically evaluate government initiatives and e-services against current best
practice principles and standards
Be able to apply basic business case and government IT management concepts in preparing e-
government proposals, plans or strategies
Identify the future trends and evolution of e-government
