TUTORING ACTIVITY PLAN for William

Tutoring Time: 1 hours

ELA Objectives (for St. Agnes student):


The student will be able to state the correct fraction with the corresponding image.
The student will be able to state the correct fraction with the interactive activity.

Describe the activity in each section and indicate high/low technology being used for each part of the activity:

Warm-up (2 min) William and the teacher will use fractions circles, when discussing the
concepts of fractions.

Pre-Test (5 min) William will complete a game on the computer with at least 7 questions.

Review of Prior William and the teacher will create a pizza with different toppings. William
Knowledge (3 min) will then have to complete an activity by stating what fraction of the pizza
has each topping on it.

William will be able to understand the usage of a simile in a sentence
William will be able to understand the usage of metaphors in a sentence
William will be able to provide an explanation of each definition as he answers questions in the
activities.

Describe the activity in each section and indicate high/low technology being used for each part of the activity:

Warm-up (2 min) The representative from the group will talk to William using similes and
metaphor sentence and asking him what the sentence means to him. The
representative from the group will then recap what the definition of both
means.

Pre-Test (5 min) William will participate in a Kahoot activity to test him on his previous
knowledge of similes and metaphors.

Review of Prior William will explain his previous knowledge of similes and metaphors

the boxes on the bottom of the worksheet and glue them under the correct
figure of speech.
