Job Description
Primary Purpose:
Provide leadership, training and technical assistance to local education agencies for all programs
and services assigned. Develop effective programs for the improvement of student performance.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Masters Degree or higher from an accredited university in the assigned area
Valid Texas Teaching certificate, preferred
Valid Principal/Mid-Management certificate, preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the area assigned, preferred
Minimum 2 years administrative experience in an educational setting
Minimum 3 years experience in successfully administering and managing federal programs
Experience in working with diverse partnerships and managing in-kind resources
Experience in managing sizeable budgets
Supervisory experience with large grants
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of state and federal accountability systems
Knowledge of research on effective teaching and methodology
Knowledge of scientifically based teaching/learning practices for diverse learners
Experience in curriculum development and evaluation
Working knowledge of college access pathways, medical preferred
Ability to utilize technology for teaching, learning and communication
Ability to function as a member of a team
Effective organizational and presentation skills
Ability to manage budgets and personnel
Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills; Bilingual (English/Spanish)

13. Oversee the i3 program and be responsible for the overall project implementation and budget
management
14. Lead the Project HEAL2 Team
15. Work with school personnel, partners, external evaluators, and be the liaison to the USDOE
i3 office
16. Serve as a liaison between the Administrator and Evaluator to ensure accuracy of data
acquired
17. Utilize data driven decision making processes to plan and coordinate regional training
activities
18. Plan and conduct advisory council meetings for evaluation and data driven decision making
19. Assist with the coordination of staff development (workshops, institutes, conferences)
20. Assist with the submission of proposals, acquisition of project data management, completion
of progress reports, fiscal management supervision of staff, and coordination with campus
administrators
21. Develop, implement, and manage grant(s)
22. Function as a member of a service delivery team
23. Provide technical assistance to school districts in implementing educational programs
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Working Conditions:
Frequent regional / statewide travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours (including
weekends/evenings); may share office space with others and lift up to 20 pounds of workshop
materials; maintain emotional control under stress
