The cegard/3D works in an optimal manner with a

The TLS 260 measures the reflectivity of objects Table 1: Distance correction factor for specified distance range of
against the background reflection, calculates with TLS sensor

tive area and switches the output. Example

ties: objects which remain static in the active area
are automatically concealed through calibration Nominal range from data sheet: 4 m
within 1.5 seconds. The original reference value f = 0.7 ... 0.8
remains stored during the calibration interval. If the Effective range: 0.75 x 4 m = 3 m
object disappears within the calibration time, the
original reference value will be reinstated without
further calibration.
On power up the TLS carries out a calibration where
the reflection of the background is measured. This
value is stored as the reference value. Should an
object intrude into the active area the reflectivity
changes. This difference is measured and the output
is switched. The greater the difference to the refer-
ence value the more sensitive the reaction.
The TLS 260 does not recognize objects of the
same reflectivity as the background.

Fail Safe Operation:
1
Due to the nature of door system designs, (which as complete systems are not fail safe), doors can close even with an obstacle present in extremely rare condi-
tions. Therefore, there must be, by code, other safety means to prevent passengers from being hurt by the elevator doors. These dangerous situations should and
can be detected by the elevator control, which should, in such a case, take the elevator out of service.
This device (as well as all other door protection systems on the market) cannot by its nature provide absolute safety for elevator passengers passing through
the doorway. It must not be used as the final fail-safe device of the door mechanism. This ultimate safety function has to be provided by a fail-safe force and
kinetic energy limiter.
1
teurs dnergie cintique doivent tre utiliss.
