Stratification Definitions

Social stratification is pretty much a system of social standing, the way it is based on is

by the following for example, is by organizing people into certain groups, a rank based system

by using factors like someones wealth, income, race, education, as well as power. The way there

is connection in social stratification is thanks to diversity between individuals in social classes

that is how it stays connected. There are four different systems of stratification, and they are

starting with slavery when someone works against their will for the servitor of someone, caste

system for a farmer the son will take over the job later whether he wants to or not, estate system

is after the time of slavery was gotten ride off but still work for the person just for cheap pay,

and last class system were if you were from a poor family the kid can become rich as well as

change his statuses by thanks to his talent and characteristics. I will have to say that all system is

likely to be close, except for class system. When it comes to the category of ascribed Slavery,

caste, and estate all fall in this group because all three will have no room for having someone to

find their own way to change his status, getting out of where they are at so they are stuck in,

working in the someplace just like their family members, and lastly to own their own thing to

have the chance to move up in life. and the only one that falls in the group of achieve states is the

class system since it is the only system where you can chance your statues, get a different job

than your family, and move up in life to get rich.

For Karl Marx means of production falls with this four-thing called land, factories,

machines, and tools and believes that all of this are owned by ether of this two group call
bourgeoisie and the capital class. Starting with the bourgeoisie, I will have to say that they own

all the businesses, materials, as well as capital. And when it comes to the second group the

capitalist, I will have to say that they own the means the farms, the tractors, as well as the land.

And what connect this two in making their riche is thanks to a group called Proletariat which are

everyone in the world that dont fall in the 1%. The proletariat are the one the preform all the

labor of both the bourgeoisie and the capitalist and they do if for survival as well as for a small

wage. When it comes to class consciousness I will have to say that they are knowledgeable that

the working class is not getting any benefit that is why man of the working group is working

together on trying to solve this problem. When it comes to the dominant ideology it is when the

practices of culturally accepting, social interests, economic, as well as reinforce political. Lastly

when it comes to false consciousness it is when the capitalist produces so that the working class

does not reflect their position in their outcome.

When it comes to the idea of class, to Weber it means to when a group of people that are

in the same economic level of resources, for example the working people fall in the worker class

as well as when it comes to an owner of a business they fall into the group call class. To define

the word class, it falls in this to element called material resources and knowledge of the

marketplace. When it comes to status groups it is when a person who has an equal perceived of

aa prestige for example how a FBI and the CIA are in the same prestige level. And lastly when it

comes to party, is when you have the mindset to reach your goal, like for example back in the

days with the women right to vote movement that stated in 1848. When it come to how Weber

see the way that Marx concept of power, he sees it as narrow as well as debatable about the

status, class, and the party as the most important when it comes to social classes.
When it comes to the cultural capital it refers to as knowledge, taste, and the way you

think as well as the way you behave that is demonstrated inside a culture. Since we know that

traits are very important to when it comes to culture possessing it give some type of power.

When it comes to culture it helps people experience knowledge a well as education, and the why

it does that is by the understanding of why social, material, cultural resources and how it allows

someone to evaluate certain thing with money and value owned by the person. Lastly when it

comes to cultural capital you can see it in attire when I come to the price, the style, as well as the

quality of that thing you going to wear. When it comes to houses you can see it when it comes to

demographics that it is put in. when you go to vacations you can see it when it comes to the

locating as well as the thing youre going to do their depending on what youre going to spend as

well as what you can afford. When it comes to food you can see it with the quality of the meat,

how it is designed, and how it is priced to eat. And last you can see it in sports when you put it

into groups of like for example in soccer in American you refer to them as teams but in Europe

they are usually referred to as sport clubs.
