SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN


I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
1. Define Algorithm
2. Create IPO chart out of the given problem
3. Appreciate the importance of IPO chart in problem solving analysis

II. SUBJECT MATTER:


Topic 2: Designing algorithm using IPO Chart

References: Computer Programming e-book
Materials: Manila paper, Powerpoint Presentation, Marker and Eraser

III. PROCEDURE
a. Priming Activity
1. Prayer
2. Checking of attendance
3. Setting of classroom standard
4. Review / Motivation
The teacher show a jumble letters flashed on the screen.
The teacher lets the student think for the correct word out of the jumble
letters.
b. Activity
Group activity by table (The class will be divided into groups of 6 members.
Answers will be presented using Manila paper)
The Students will use the power of their point in choosing the reporter.

c. Analysis
Question and Answer
How did you find the activity? Is it easy or difficult?
In what part of the activity that you encounter difficulty? Why?
Who can enumerate the different control structure in problem solving?

d. Abstraction
The teacher discusses the different control structures used in problem
solving.
The teacher demonstrate how to identify the control structure based on a
sample problem.
e. Application
The teacher asks the students to enumerate the different control structure
used in solving problem.
The teacher ask a student from the class to demonstrate the skills learned by
identifying control structure
The teacher ask a student from the class to describe the importance why they
must learn how to identify what control structure they have to used in solving
problem.

IV. EVALUATION
Pen and Paper Exercises
The students will be given 10 items quiz.
