CCSS: W.2.3 Write narratives in which they recount a well-elaborated event or short sequence of events, include details to
describe actions, thoughts, and feelings, use temporal words to signal event order, and provide a sense of closure.
Social Studies State Standard: 2.SS.3.1.2 Define income and identify different ways to earn and
save.

Social Studies Objective: Students will be able write a short story about something they would save up for and how
they would earn the money for it, using correct principles of income and savings.
Vocabulary terms and definitions:
Income: Earning money through work.
Saving: putting money aside for a specific purpose.
Technology Integration: The teacher will use the go noodle website to keep track of student
points and have it up periodically for students to see how much they have earned and saved.
Accommodations: The teacher will put the student in the front row, and have visuals for the student
to read along with and see as the lesson is being taught. The teacher will face the students and use a
