Specications PST Scheduler Package

GENERAL
Partial Stroke Test (hereinafter referred to as PST) is an online test of the function of Emergency Shutdown Valve
with slightly closing of Emergency Shutdown Valve instead of completely closing. By PST, the interval period
between Full Stroke Tests is extended and the cost is reduced. PST execution functions are included in Emergency
Shutdown Valve. This is an eye-catching solution in Safety Instrumented System SIS, which realizes cost reduction
for plant operations.
PST Scheduler Package is an optional function of PRM. By using this package, each PST for Emergency
Shutdown Valve is effectively executed and the result of PST is totally managed. Changing schedule and manual
execution of PST are possible. PST Scheduler Package clearly displays PST schedule and the result in Gantt
chart.

PST Scheduler Package consists of PST Scheduler Server and PST Scheduler Client. PST Scheduler Server
supports multiple PST Scheduler Client. PST Scheduler Server and PRM Server can operate on a same PC. PST
Scheduler Server can be installed on other PC than that for PRM Server.
PST Scheduler Client can operate on a same PC where the software described below is installed.

PST Scheduler Client is applicable for Emergency Shutdown Valve connected to ProSafe-RS. Also, PST Scheduler
Client is applicable for Emergency Shutdown Valve connected to Field Communication Server via HART Multiplexer.

Vigilant Integration Partners (VIP) Program (*1) with Yokogawa; Dresser-Masoneilan, Flowserve, Metso Automation,
Samson AG.
*1: VIP Program is an open partner program realizing the interoperability based on standard.

FUNCTION SPECIFICATION
PST Scheduler Package has functions described below.

Registering Emergency Shutdown Valve

Registers Emergency Shutdown Valve by importing Emergency Shutdown Valve list exported from PRM Client.

PST Group
Creates PST groups for PST execution. Up to 100 Emergency Shutdown Valve can be registered in a PST group. Up
to 100 PST groups can be created.

User Management
PST Scheduler can manage users independently from PRM. By specifying the role of each user for PST operation,
PST Scheduler can control the user operation. Also, PST Scheduler can specify users composing a team for
operating PST group. A team can include users having different roles.

Creating PST Schedule

Creates PST execution schedule for PST group. Schedule can be specied on week, month or year basis. Periodical
schedule can be created. Also, PST execution schedule can be specied arbitrarily.

PST Execution along PST Schedule

Executes PST for Emergency Shutdown Valve registered in PST group along the PST schedule. With PST scheduler,
PST execution mode can be selected among automatic/semi automatic/manual for each PST group. If selecting semi
automatic, the dialog reminding the user of PST execution is displayed when the execution timing comes. Namely,
PST execution begins with the conrmation by user. In this case, PST for Emergency Shutdown Valve can be
skipped.

Manual PST Execution

PST can be manually started from monitoring window of PST scheduler. Manual mode can be specied for each PST
group or each Emergency Shutdown Valve.

Monitoring PST Schedule

For monitoring PST schedule, PST Monitor is equipped to PST Scheduler Client.
PST Monitor displays PST schedule in Gantt chart. Also, PST Monitor displays PST execution status and result by the
color. Furthermore, on PST Monitor, creating hierarchic display of PST group is possible.

Starting DTM (Device Type Manager)

DTM for Emergency Shutdown Valve can be started and be displayed from PST Scheduler Client. With DTM provided
by device vendors, device parameter information or PST execution status can be monitored.

Displaying PST result on PRM Client

On PRM Client, PST execution result is displayed as a diagnosis result in the diagnosis window. Also, PST Scheduler
Client can be started from the diagnosis window on PRM Client.

Operator Guide Message to HIS

Operator Guide Message can be transmitted to HIS when reminder dialog telling execution timing is displayed and
PST execution is started or ended.
