Assumptions: The students are familiar with vocabulary within the topic, the students have their own
smartphone
PROCEDURE
The teacher greets the students and writes the number of the lesson and the summary.
The teacher tells the students that they are going to read a text about virtual reality and advertising.
The teacher hands out the text. The text will be read aloud by the students, one at the time. Both teacher
and students will talk about the main ideas of each section.
After reading the text and talking about it, students will be told that they will use their VR Google Carboard
Glasses to watch the VR commercials mentioned in the text and see if the marketing strategies used are
successful or not.
The teacher hands out Google Cardboard VR glasses for everyone. To watch the commercials, each student
will use their smartphone, a pair of glasses, the YouTube app and earphones.
Students are asked about their opinion concerning the experience and share their conclusions with the
class.
