Establish 3rd position by listening to the ring tones played with the 1st nger.

Shuttle the whole hand from 1st to 3rd positions, gliding the nger along the surface of the string.

Establish the 1-4 hand frame by nding the ring tones with both 1st and 4th ngers.

Play the printed small notes with ghost pressure, enough to hear the pitch, then shuttle
the hand to 3rd position and play with solid tone.
