a. Location:
The City of Iligan is located in the Northern coast of Mindanao facing Iligan Bay, bounded in the north by the province of Misamis Oriental, in
the east by the provinces of Bukidnon and Lanao del Sur and in the south by the province of Lanao del Norte.
It is approximately 795 kilometers southeast of Metro Manila with geographical grid coordinates of 81356 north latitude and 1241354"
east longitude. (See Figure 1).
Figure 1
Iligan became chartered city in 1950 thru Republic Act 525 and declared as Highly Urbanized City in 1983. By virtue of Republic Act 9724 the
City of Iligan was separated from the 1st District of Lanao del Norte to constitute the Lone District of the City of Iligan.
Iligan City is subdivided into forty-four (44) barangays with a total land area of 81,337 hectares, which is about 25 percent of the total land
area of Lanao del Norte and is 3.13 percent of the total land area of Northern Mindanao. The land area and distance from barangay to city proper is
presented in Table 1 and illustrated in Figure 2, the Administrative Boundary Map showing the political boundaries of the 44 barangays.

Directions: Analyzing the data for peace and order and public safety situation in Table B (Chapter B), list the main issues or problems in Table C. That is, look into the
underlying issues represented by the indicator data that may be at alarming or warning levels. Refer to the POPS Guidebook for additional guide questions for your analysis.
Prioritizing POPS challenges is best done with the POC. Complete your analysis by filling in the information required for C-2 to C-7 of Table C. Upon completion of C-2-C7 of
Table C, rank the POPS issues by placing the number beside the issue under C-1.

Sample narrative
1. Develop a narrative to describe the situation, episode, event or instance and its effects.
Based on your CCO profiling, prepare a summary profile for each public order and public safety issue identified:
Since (year), (prioritized / major issue) has been happening in (state specific areas, state periods of time or trends) due to ______________. It
has affected (population profile of affected, provide quantitative data) in the following ways (impact of issue on people, places, processes)
