Urinarytractinfectionisusuallyfromthe
perineuminascendingorderviaurethra.

AprerequisiteforUTIisthecolonisation
ofperiurethralareabythepathogens.Due
toshortnessofurethra,thefemalesare
morepronetothisinfection.The
haematogenousspreadofthisinfection
maybepossibleinnewborn.
