GUIDELINES ON CFC STANDARD SONGS

1. As one community gifted by God with a specific charism, culture and way of worship,
Couples for Christ and its Family Ministries desire to achieve a reasonable degree of
standardization in songs of praise and worship it uses in prayer meetings, assemblies
and other gatherings.

2. The objective is not to prohibit or restrict the singing of certain songs if it will aid or
enhance worship or as the Holy Spirit leads, but rather to enable CFC and FM
members to actively participate in praise and worship by allowing singing of generally
known songs in whatever place in Canada the CFC member may be.

3. As a general guideline, all Couples for Christ and Family Ministries areas in Canada are
encouraged to sing praise and worship songs that are included in any edition of the
CFC Glory Songbook. In addition, other songs not found in the CFC Glory Songbook
may also be used if these songs have been used by some areas for a long time and
have found their way into the CFC song culture. An initial list of these additional songs
(all authorized by CCLI) is attached; this will be updated regularly and posted in all CFC
Canada websites.

4. All Couples for Christ and Family Ministries members are likewise encouraged to give
preference to homegrown songs or songs composed by CFC members that have been
made part of the CFC Glory Songbook.

5. Any CFC and FM area which through prayer and leading of the Holy Spirit wants to
adopt a new song not included in the CFC Glory Songbook or the additional list
mentioned in No. 3 above, is requested to inform the CFC Canada Music Ministry
National Core Team. If approved by the team, and after approval by the CFC Music
Ministry in Manila, the new song will then be made part of CFC Standard Songs and
become acceptable for use in CFC Canada.

6. In all cases, we will comply with laws and regulations governing use and singing of
songs as administered by the Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI). Use of
songs includes reproducing and distributing hard copies, audio copies and also
projecting the lyrics.
