Project Quality Lead

JOB TITLE: Project Quality Lead


A practicing quality professional with good knowledge and experience in the delivery of projects in a highly regulated industry.
Working as part of multiple project delivery teams and reporting to the Regional Quality Lead, this role will contribute to achieving
outstanding levels of customer satisfaction by:-
Providing professional advice and guidance to project teams on the risks and opportunities associated with meeting client,
regulatory and legal requirements, and stakeholder expectations

Key Areas of Responsibility (within a project context):


Risk Management:
Identify, report and advise on risks and opportunities within a project to the Project Manager and Regional Quality Lead.
Use appropriate quality tools and techniques to identify risks and opportunities within a specific project context and
support action to address findings as necessary.
Use risk management to ensure the application of appropriate assurance throughout the project delivery lifecycle.
Relationship Management:
Identify the various stakeholders associated with a project and build relationships with them to allow you to understand
their requirements and expectations and advise on the application of governance, assurance and improvement in the
project context.
Work within the established structures and processes to drive the culture of planning for quality through the delivery
process.
Work with the tendering team to establish context based methods for delivery and to plan for quality at the earliest stages
of the project.
Resource Management:
Support and co-ordinate Inspectors and Project Quality Advisors to deliver the quality aspects of project requirements.
Identify commercially viable resource demands for quality support on projects and co-ordinate with the Regional Quality
Lead to ensure appropriate resource is available.
Capability Development:
Ensure the system of management within a project is effective, current and conforms to the Nuvia documented system as
well as the contractual requirements.
Identify where contractual demands require deviation from the default management system and design, document and
implement the required deviations.
Maintain a personal programme of continuing professional development in line with the CQI Competency Framework.
Develop the supply chain to support them in achieving the demands of the nuclear industry.
Thought Leadership:
Identify and implement opportunities for improvement or good practice within the project context, or your specific area of
expertise. Communicate these with the Regional Quality Lead to ensure alignment with the regional strategies and
business plans.
Knowledge, Improvement, Innovation & Learning:
Support the delivery of the quality awareness programme for key stakeholders locally.
Capture and share knowledge and learning opportunities within the quality team and the project teams.
Use root cause analysis tools to resolve issues and ensure that learning from experience is a routine part of the project
lifecycle.

The Project Quality Lead is expected to hold at least Affiliate status with the CQI with the potential to achieve Practitioner (PCQI)
status within 12 months of appointment.
