Year 5 Taster Day (Bugsy Malone)

June - Tile House Mansion

Students arrive, name tags issued etc.

9.45 10.30 Session One THM Dome

Students will assemble in the Dome at THM. We will spend 10 mins explaining the day to the students
and watching a clip (or clips) from Bugsy Malone. (Sarah Glynn to Lead this)
Chris Powell will then lead a whole group singing activity Performing Fat Sams Grand Slam.
Possibly some simple movement to go with the song TBC with Charissa.
At the end of this session we will split the students into three equal groups. Can Wicken sort out
groups beforehand?

10.30 - 10.50 Break

10.50 11.35 Session Two Various Locations

Students are split into three groups

GROUP 1 DRAMA GROUP 2 DANCE GROUP 3 MUSIC

Foyer and Library (1.1 as well if
possible)
Drama with Sarah Glynn and
Helen Maltby. Students in this
group will be split in half again
and learn a short scene from
Bugsy with either Helen or Sarah.)
Dome Music Room
Students will learn a simple dance Students will create some sort of
routine So You Want to Be a musical performance based
Boxer around the song You Give A Little
Love with Chris Powell

11.35 12.20 Session Two Various Locations

Student groups rotate

1.00 1.50 Rehearsal for concert Dome
Rehearse acts for the concert
2.00 2.30 Concert for Parents
Groups perform their small items and then big group number at the end.
2.45 End of Day
