Respectfully forwarded to the Office of the City Prosecutor of Iloilo City are the records
of investigation for alleged HOMICIDE case for evaluation and proper disposition. The said
case was committed on 8 May 2009, at about 10:00 oclock in the morning, at Duran Street,
Brgy Concepcion, Iloilo City wherein victim one JOHN REYES y LAMIS, 27 years old,
married, tricycle driver and a resident of the said place, without justifiable or apparent reason and
with intent to kill, was stabbed by suspect one REYNALDO RAMOS y LOPEZ, 25 years old,
single, jobless and a resident of Dela Rama Street, Brgy Zamora, Iloilo City who was armed with
a bladed weapon. The victim sustained two (2) fatal stab wounds on the chest and was rushed to
West Visayas State University Hospital, E. Lopez Street, Jaro, Iloilo City for medical treatment
but was pronounced dead on arrival (DOA) by the attending physician thereat. The suspect was
arrested during hot pursuit operation conducted but the weapon used was not recovered from his
possession and control. The suspect under the custody of this Station for investigation and proper
disposition.

FACTS OF THE CASE:

Investigation disclosed that the victim and the suspect were good friends. On
May 8, 2009, at about 10:00 oclock in the morning, the duo together with their friends
had a drinking spree inside the house of the victim located at Duran Street, Brgy
Concepcion, Iloilo City. After consuming several bottles of beer, a heated argument
ensued between one of their friends and the suspect which eventually led to a fistfight.
The victim intervened but, without justifiable or apparent reason and with intent to kill,
was stabbed by the suspect who was armed with a bladed weapon. The victim
sustained two (2) stab wounds on the chest and was rushed to West Visayas State
University Hospital, E. Lopez Street, Jaro, Iloilo City for medical treatment but was
pronounced dead on arrival (DOA) by the attending physician thereat.. The suspect was
arrested during hot pursuit operation conducted but the weapon used was not
recovered from his possession and control. The suspect was under the custody of this
Station for investigation and proper documentation

The suspect was apprised of his constitutional rights and positively identified by
the witnesses during confrontation as the very person who stabbed the victim.

On the account of the foregoing, the suspect was placed under arrest and the
charge of HOMICIDE against him will be brought to the attention of an Inquest
Prosecutor for proper disposition and recommendation.

This case will be represented by PO3 Bonifacio L. Alabe Jr of this Station.
