I am pursuing a graduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University with a focus on
Operations Research and Analytics after completing my undergraduate degree from the prestigious Indian
Institute of Technology (IIT Roorkee).
I recently completed my assignment as a Data Scientist Co-op with Danaher Labs in Santa Clara, California. I
was a part of a three member data analytics team providing insights and recommendations to Zurich based
client company. I predicted future customer demand for six quarters using forecasting and time series
modeling in Python and predicted optimum inventory levels for the anticipated demand. I determined customer
retention rate using a random forest based model which led to a saving of $3,400,000 for the client.

I have experience in optimization and linear programming and integer programming using packages like
CPLEX/AMPL .I love doing modeling and analysis using R and Python through packages like Numpy, Pandas
and scikit-learn and using visualization tools like Matplotlib, ggplot2 and seaborn. I have a day to day working
proficiency in them.I have a keen interest and sound background in statistical analysis and machine learning
algorithms.

I worked earlier as a Optimization Intern at Optimal Asset Management LLC in Los Altos, CA where I dealt
with huge financial datasets to create optimum finance portfolios using Principal Component Analysis and
constrained optimization. I generated reports using R scripts and wrote and managed production level code in a
git framework.

Also , I worked with Reliance Industries Limited for an year as an Operations Engineer where I implemented
and solved optimization models to determine optimal production rate and reduce excess inventory costs using
AMPL. I conducted time studies and computed plant production capacity based on the workflow and
bottlenecks at each assembly location and worked to resolve bottlenecks.

I learnt how to apply my data analytics skills to an unfamiliar domain in my project Drug Repositioning by
analysis of gene expressions using R programming to calculate the similarity score between drug and disease
microarray data and use it predict new indications for a pre-approved drug.I led a group of 4 graduate students
and 2 undergrad students which greatly helped me to hone my leadership and communication skills.
