Warehouse Supervisor

Job Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees and coordinates the daily warehousing activities. He will
implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the
appropriate level of volume within time limits. The goal is to ensure that daily operations meet
and exceed daily performance expectations and to increase the companys overall market share.

Responsibilities

Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying


and dispatching

Coordinate between warehouse command and other offices and departments on ship
departure schedules and priority orders to ensure timely delivery

Accomplishes Monthly Warehouse Checklist

Communicate job expectations and coach warehouse employees

Files, documents and submits relevant reports for the improved efficiency and
management of the system

Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative solutions or adjust existing work
procedures and practices to better serve warehouse needs

Maintain and update MRN, O.S. & D, DMRR and other registers

Monitors Warehouse Request Inbox for Advance Shipping Notice from Procurement
department
Implement and assign uniform inventory code for new warehouse goods upon receiving
advance shipping notice

Forwards to received Advance Shipping Notices to material supervisor for dissemination


and task assignment

Prepares Daily Material Receiving Record for forwarding to the head office

Check and forward Equipment and Inventory Disposal Recommendation (EIDR) report
to Warehouse Manager for approval

Continuously maintains storage area by organizing floor space and designating storage
locations for new goods
Adheres to storage design principles and recommends improvements and policy changes
to management

Update, inform and report to warehouse manager the general condition and status of
warehouse operations

Minimum Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven warehouse supervisory experience

Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques

Good safety management abilities

Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data

Hands-on commitment to getting the job done

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations

Strong organisational and time management skills

Knowledge of good warehouse practices and MS Office proficiency

BS degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or other


management related course
