Physical/ Mental Effects:

Our baby has klinefelters syndrome and hemophilia. Klinefelters syndrome is when a male has
an extra X chromosome, resulting in infertility, a taller frame, learning disabilities and breast
enlargement (National Library of Medicine).
Hemophilia is when a person (more commonly in males) has no factor VIII (National Hemophilia
Foundation), which is what causes blood to clot. Without this, the person would be
uncontrollably without medicine.

Physical/ Mental Assistance Needed:

Speech and Physical Therapy: to overcome problems with speech and physical
problems
Education/ Socializing: some boys have problems socializing and extra help
could help with this.
Fertility Treatment: men with klinefelter's have few to no sperm, so a ICSI can
help with this
Psychological Counseling:coping with infertility may be difficult but a
psychological counseling can help

Home Plan:
Since our child has klinefelters syndrome (which cause learning disabilities and tallness) we
would have higher doorways. Our child would be able to attend public school but would be in
classes designed for special need kids and have a emergency plan if he was to be injured. Our
child also has hemophilia so all tables and counters would have rounded edges. The house
would be mostly carpet, sharp utensils will have covers and be in a locked drawer. Plates, cups
and utensils would be plastic until our child is at an older age.

Medical/ Biotechnological Options:

Testosterone replacement therapy- help stimulate changes that normally occur at puberty, such
as developing a deeper voice, growing facial and body hair, and increasing muscle mass and
penis size.
Clotting promoter- Medication for hemophilia to decrease the risk of excessive bleeding
Breast tissue removal- excess breast tissue can be removed by a plastic surgeon leaving a
more normal chest

Irritants and allergens in the home are cigarette smoke, cleaning products, dust, and mold.
These are all very bad for babies. They shouldnt be breathing in chemicals or dust. To reduce
this we wont let smokers into the house, we will get rid of rugs instead we will use hardwoods.
We will remove drapes. We will get a very good vacuum s
o we dont blow dust.

Myths About Vaccinations and Soy products causing early puberty:

Vaccinations:
Can save child's life: having these immunizations are more
effective than ever
Immunizations can save your family time and money: a child
without vaccinations can be denied being able to go to certain schools. It can
also prevent prolonged and can take a time toll because of time that has been
lost at work, medical bills, or long-term disability care.
Soy products causing early puberty:
Soy products do not cause early puberty and they do not contain
estrogen
Pathogens can actually block excess estrogen
Pathogens also may compensate for low estrogen
