TRAINING FOR REIGNING

Matthew 5:.1012 (NKJV)

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, For
theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile
and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for
My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in
heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
TRAINING FOR REIGNING

Hebrews 11
13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not
receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a
distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on
earth. 14 People who say such things show that they are looking for a
country of their own. 15 If they had been thinking of the country they had
left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 Instead, they were
longing for a better countrya heavenly one. Therefore God is not
ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
35 ...There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that
they might gain an even better resurrection.
LIVING IN LIGHT OF ETERNITY

1 Cor 3
11For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid,
which is Jesus Christ. 12 If anyone builds on this foundation using
gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be
shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be
revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each persons
work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a
reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will
be savedeven though only as one escaping through the flames.
Phil 3
7But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.
8What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth
of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I
consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him
17Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as
you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do. 18For,
as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many
live as enemies of the cross of Christ. 19 Their destiny is destruction, their
god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on
earthly things. 20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a
Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21who, by the power that enables
him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so
that they will be like his glorious body.
LIVING IN LIGHT OF ETERNITY

Matt 6:19-21
19 Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where
moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths
and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and
steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
LIVING IN LIGHT OF ETERNITY
Revelation 21 (NIV)
21 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and
the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw
the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from
God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I
heard a loud voice from the throne saying, Look! Gods dwelling place is
now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his
people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 He will
wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or
mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
Romans 5:3 (NIV)
3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering
produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope.
Phil 1
29 For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him,
but also to suffer for him,
Phil 3
10 I want to know Christyes, to know the power of his resurrection and
participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 and so,
somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.
Col 1
24 Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is
still lacking in regard to Christs afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the
church.
1 Tim 1
8 So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his
prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of
God 12 That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame,
because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to
guard what I have entrusted to him until that day.

1 Peter 4
12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on
you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13
But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that
you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted
because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and
of God rests on you
Revelation 2:7b
To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the
tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

Revelation 2:11b
The one who is victorious will not be hurt at all by the second
death.

Revelation 2:17
To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden
manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name
written on it, known only to the one who receives it.
Revelation 2:26
To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will
give authority over the nations

Revelation 3:21
To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on
my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on
his throne.
Hebrews 12 (NIV)
12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,
let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.
And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our
eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before
him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right
hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition
from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. 4 In your
struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding
your blood. 7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his
children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? 10 They
disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us
for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness.
Hebrews 12 (NIV)
11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on,
however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those
who have been trained by it 22 you have come to Mount Zion, to
the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to
thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, 23 to the
church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have
come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made
perfect, 24 to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the
sprinkled blood that speaks 28 Therefore, since we are receiving a
kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship
God acceptably with reverence and awe 29 for our God is a
consuming fire.
