KOSMISCHER LUFER : LIVE IN GRAZ - THE MUSIC OF MARTIN ZEICHNETE RELEASE: 12th June 2017
CAT No: (UCR002 Digital & UCR002V Ltd Edition 12" Vinyl) contact:info@kosmischerlaufer.com

Unknown Capability Recordings proudly presents this four track EP documenting one of the first live performances of
Martin Zeichnete, the Kosmischer Lufer's, music. In early 2015 on his 'Infinity' European tour Yann Tiersen and his band
played a set of Zeichnete's kosmik, motorik compositions every night. This particular performance was taped at the historic
Orpheum Theatre in Graz, Austria.

Originally written secretly in 1970's East Germany to train and inspire the country's athletic elite this EP follows UCR's
release of three critically acclaimed volumes of music from the Kosmischer Lufer archive.

Perhaps it is apt that the first performances of Zeichnete's music involved Tiersen. It was at the Breton musician's 2013
concert in Berlin that UCR's Drew McFadyen first met Zeichnete and the road to his musical re/discovery began. The first
release from the Kosmischer Lufer catalogue that year led to calls for Martin to emerge from the shadows and play live.
Reluctant to do so himself, he was delighted to see the concerts which led to this recording go ahead. Joined onstage by
McFadyen the band were eager to do the source material justice. The group combined analogue electronics with live
instruments to faithfully conjure up the sound and spirit of the originals. We hope you enjoy it... Zeit zum Laufen!
