Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JnNURM)
Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JnNURM), formulated by
Kerala Sustainable Urban Development Project
Government of India in 2005, aims to encourage cities to initiate steps to bring about
improvement in the existing service levels in a financially sustainable manner.

Mission Statement
The aim is to encourage reforms and fast-track planned development of identified Project Implementation Units
cities. Focus will be on efficiency in urban infrastructure and services delivery Project Implementation Unit
