1. First create a domain in weblogic using the weblogic config wizard.

a) Open a new Command window and navigate to the,


'C:\AE11\bea\wls12120\oracle_common\common\bin' directory and
execute the config.cmd command.
b) Note that, to run this successfully, the JAVA_HOME environment
variable must be pointing to the JDK 7 directory. Also, the
MW_HOME must be pointing to the 'C:\AE11\bea\wls12120'
directory.
c) In the GUI wizard, check the option to create a new domain and give
a meaningful name to the domain as shown below.

d) you can leave the default path for the domain as shown above.
e) Click Next and select the 'Basic Weblogic Server Domain' as the
type of the domain to be created and click Next.

f) When prompted for the password for the user name 'weblogic',
provide a easy to remember password, say, 'weblogic1'.
g) Select the Domain mode as 'Development' and also verify the JDK
path selected is same as the one you have installed and Click Next.

h) In the next screen, you can choose to edit the Admin Server details,
create additional managed servers etc., For the time-being, select
the option to modify the Admin Server and Managed Server settings
as shown.

i) We will have the weblogic Admin Server running on its default port
'7001' and will configure a managed server 'atgServer' listening on
port 8001.
j) In the next screen for configuring the managed server, Click the
'Add' button to add a new managed server and configure the port
number as '8001' for the same as shown below.

k) For the time-being, you can skip the screens to create a cluster and
machine and click the 'Create' button in the Configuration summary
screen.

l) The domain will be created and if there are no errors, you would be
prompted to either Click Finish or to start the Admin Server and click
Finish.
2. Now we will install the ATG platform on top of the Weblogic domain.

a. Extract the zip file, 'V46006-01.zip' to a suitable folder and double


click the 'OCPlatform11.1.exe' file.
b. On the first screen, accept the language as 'English' and click 'ok'.
c. In the next screen accept the license agreement and move on to the
next screen. It will prompt for the installation path. please change
the default path to 'C:\AE11\ATG11.1' and click 'Next'.

d. In the next screen, select all the products to be installed, by clicking


the 'select all' button.

e. In the next screen to select the application server, you can skip the
application server selection as this is not needed for the installation
of ATG.
f. Since we would be creating our own custom ATG server instances
for every different ATG products that we are going to run, we dont
need the server configuration during the installation.
g. The only thing is that, after installation, we need to manually add
one line to the file, 'dasEnv.bat' located under the %DYNAMO_HOME
%\localconfig directory as shown below:

set ATGJRE=C:\AE11\jdk1.7.0_40\jre\bin\java

h. In the summary screen, verify that the path is correct for the ATG
installation and click Install. the Installation would be completed in a
few minutes. Click 'Done', when the installation is over.

3. Now, we can install the ATG CRS, on top of the already installed ATG
platform.

a. Extract the installer zip file, 'V46008-01.zip' to a convenient


directory.
b. This will extract the 'OCReferenceStore11.1.exe' file. Double click
this file to start the installation.
c. In the first screen, accept the language as English and click OK.
d. Click Next and then accept the license agreement.
e. In the next screen, carefully, type/select the path of the ATG
installation that was already done.
f. In the next screen, accept the defaults regarding the creation of a
Programs Group and click Install.
g. The installation would be completed in a few minutes. You can verify
the same by checking whether a folder by name
'CommerceReferenceStore' has been created under the
C:\Ae11\ATG11.1 directory.
4. Now, we will install the Endeca components needed for the ATG
development. We will start with the MDEX installation. the version of MDEX
supported is 6.5.1

a. Open the 'V46004-01.zip' file and extract the 'OCmdex6.5.1-


win64_829811.exe' from that to your convenient directory.
b. We will have a custom directory created called as 'EndecaTraining'
under the C:\ for our Endeca installations. All our Endeca
installations, would be going under this directory only.
c. In the installer, accept the license agreement and click Next. Accept
the Default Program folder and click Next.
d. Now type the full path of installation folder in the next screen.

e. Once the installation is over, click Finish.


f. Next we have to install the Endeca Platform Services. For this,
extract the contents of the file, 'V46001-01.zip' to your convenient
folder. This will provide you with a executable by name,
'OCplatformservices11.1.0-win64.exe'.
g. Double click the exe and start the installation. This will install the
Endeca Platform Services. Choose the base directory as,
'C:\EndecaTraining\Endeca\PlatformServices'
h. In the list of Products to be installed, select the Oracle Commerce
Reference Application also. This is not the CRS, but the orange
application. Actually, this would be deployed on the Endeca Tools &
Frameworks too and it would be running actually from there only.
Hence this is optional here.

i. The Endeca platform services would create a Windows Service and


to start that, proper OS credentials with admin privileges are
needed. Ensure that the user credentials using which you are
installing the software has got the admin privileges on the windows
machine.
j. In the next screen, leave the port numbers of the EAC Service and
EAC shutdown port, and provide the path of the MDEX installation
as shown below.

k. Now click Next and then Install.


l. You need to restart your machine after the platform installation. It
will prompt for a restart and hence complete the same.
m. Now, we have to install the Endeca Tools & Frameworks Service with
Experience Manager.
n. Extract the file, V46388-01.zip that contains the XM software to a
convenient location. A top-level folder by name, 'cd' will be created.
o. Navigate to the 'cd\Disk1\install' directory and double click the
setup.exe file. This will start the Oracle Universal Installer.
p. In the next screen, when prompted for the type of installation,
select the complete install that would take upto 500 MB of disk
space.
q. In the next screen, specify the path where the software has to be
installed.

r. It will prompt for the admin password for the workbench access.
provide the same as 'admin' and confirm the password.
s. Click Next and click Install.

t. Once the installation is complete, exit the Installer.


u. To install the Tools & Frameworks as a windows Service, use the
install_service.bat file under the
'C:\EndecaTraining\Endeca\ToolsAndFrameworks\11.1.0\server\bin'
directory.
v. Open a command window with Admin privileges and navigate to the
above mentioned directory and execute the command,
install_service.bat file.
w. You should get a message in the command window that states that
the Endeca Tools Service has been installed successfully.

x. Next, we will install the Endeca CAS. For this, extract the contents of
the file, 'V46391-01.zip' to your convenient folder. it will contain
'OCcas11.1.0-win64.exe'. Double click the file to begin the
installation. Select the Endeca CAS samples as an additional
installation in the next screen.
y. Give the path for the installation as shown below. In the next
screen, provide the user credentials for the windows service to start
up.

z. Accept the default port numbers and click Install.


aa.Once this installation is complete, optionally, we can install the
Endeca DEV Studio as well.
