When you think of summer, you probably think of tropical island

getaways, frozen drinks, swimming in salty water. Its easy to forget that
despite the sweaty commutes and hustle and bustle, Manhattan is also
an island that's capable of providing you with all those things, the best
the season has to offer. With restaurants, parks, and watering holes
capable of bringing the summer sun to the big city, you dont need a
plane ticket to get those island vibes youre longing for.

While you can easily get your hands on a lobster roll in most parts
of Manhattan, North River Lobster Co. is the only place where you
can get a lobster roll while bobbing atop the Hudson River. The
largest floating lobster shack in NYC features fresh seafood, light
fare, mason jar cocktails, buckets of beer, and a raw bar. Its a
laid-back, casual atmosphere with great views of Midtown, and
each lobster roll comes with a quick cruise thats included with
price of food and drinks.

Rooftops are a curious thing in Manhattan. On one hand, you

have access to some of the best views in the entire United
States the New York City skyline. On the other hand, youll

Queens, known as the "world's borough" for being the most ethnically
diverse urban area on the globe, is also the largest of the five boroughs of
NYC. Vast ethnic communities also mean an endless variety of ethnic
foods, which makes Queens a destination for great eats and exploration of
world cultures. Whether it's checking out the beaches or one of many
museums, extend your summer staycation in the home of the New York
Mets, the US Open (tennis), and pay homage to musical legends such as
Louie Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and various hip hop pioneers including LL

We know, we know in the last decade or so, summer at the jersey shore
evokes putting on your nicest t-shirt and fist pumping at the clubs. But it
isn't all just GTL (gym, tan, laundry). Here's the real 'Situation' in Jersey:
aside from some famous beaches, there are also wineries, hiking trails,
skyline views, and enough eats to forget the beach-bod you worked all
spring for. So ferry, kayak, or swim (although we wouldn't recommend
that) across the Hudson and take in all the summer fun that the garden
state has to offer.
