3 Russia Questions

Where/how does communism start in Russia?

The revolution started after the czar tried to win his favor back with the

people again in Russia. He first tried to bring up peace but the people said

that they dont like him. Then he tried to get on the train and convince

people but the soldiers were honest before letting him on the train and said

that they dont like him either. He then called the generals to go to the city

to convince people and they said no too because they didnt like him. His last

resort was to call his brother. He asked him to become the czar but his

brother didnt like him either so he said no. With this, the provisional

committee became the new government and they start bringing new ideas

into the world. Some people already say this as a problem and were waited

for workers to feel exploited and to get mad so they could bring their ideas

about communism into Russia.

Why do we get the communist revolution happening in Russia?

We get a communist revolution because the Bolsheviks eventually couldnt

wait any longer for the exploited workers to get mad and wanted to make

change now. With this, Lenin created a Bolshevik part and promised things to

the people. They said that Russia will leave the war and will not be

cooperating with the provisional government. They also said that power

would be spread to all the various Soviets and form a government as well as
have a giant land0grab for the peasants. It was said that the workers would

run the factories themselves and everyone would be able to have their own

nationality. Even with saying all of this, there were still problems like having

no support from the socialist parties and the fact that they were outlawed by

the provisional government. This didnt stop the rise of communism within

the community and people still wanted a revolution and this lead to an

election to choose which group of communists the people preferred, which

ended up being the other group: the Mensheviks. This lead to a civil war and

the Bolsheviks getting control of the government.

Why did communism quickly turn into totalitarianism?

Communism seemed to be a great thing in the beginning, but after a while

the people and everyone else started to realize that it was making a turn for

the worse. It turned into totalitarianism because Stalin saw that the Soviet

Union had suffered from economic backwardness and so he wanted to

impose government control over the economy. He built a five-year plan by

building a heavy industry, improving transportation, and increasing the farm

input. All businesses were under the government and distributed all the

resources and commanded the economy. This plan set high production goals

and bonuses were given to those who succeeded. This plan, of course, also

had its consequences and made it so this form of government went away

quickly. Some peasants didnt want to give up their land and so they started

killing the animals and burning crops as a brutal force of strike and
revolution. This lead to neither of the two working and another resort

needing to be inforce.
