Introduction
Purpose: This piece of work is aimed at showing how to make use of different Excel functions

in data analysis. It will be demonstrated by the use of coffee sales data for the year 2014 and

2015 over each quarter. This analysis will first use graphical representation to show the

correlation between figures and then use percentages to show the changes that occur over the

different period.

Manual
It is necessary for offering guidance on the use of MS excel in sales data analysis.

Analyzing data makes it easy to get the meaning and relationship of different variables. Using

the MS Excel, we have developed graphical representations to make it easy for one to make a

comparison of various data variables.

Graphical Representation

The graphical representation is a simple way of representing the sales figures and will enable one

to grasp the relationship among them quickly. This graphical representation has made use of

simple excel bar graph to compare the sales. By using the Excel bar chart, we are now in a

position to determine the number of sales that were realized each month, the one with the highest

and least amount of sales.

 For the year 2014, the coffee sales are grouped regarding quarter basis to compare the
output from each country. On comparing the nine countries, it can be noted that El Salvador has
the highest coffee sales for the entire year combined.
