1- Determine the Fourier series coefficients (Ck) for the periodic sequence x[n] shown in the Figure below.

2- Consider a sequence: [] =

a. Sketch x[n].
b. Find the Fourier series coefficients Ck of x[n].

3- Determine the discrete Fourier series representation for each of the following sequences:

a. [] = cos ( 4 ) .

b. [] = cos ( 3 ) + sin( 3 ) .

c. [] = cos 2( 8 ).

4- Find the Fourier transform of:


a. [] = [].
b. [] = [ + 1].
c. [] = [].
d. [] = [ 1]
e. [] = [] [ ].

5- Compute the N-point DFT of each of the following sequences:

c. [] = [] [ 0 ].

6- Consider the finite-length sequence [] = [] + 2[ 5].


a. Find the 10-point discrete Fourier transform of x[n].
b. Find part (a) using FFT.
c. Find the inverse of part (a) or (b). (Note: part a and part b have the same answer)
d. Find the sequence that has a discrete Fourier transform () = 2210 () where X(K) is the
10-point DFT of x[n].
e. Find the 10-point sequence y[n] that has a discrete Fourier transform () = ()() where
X(k) is the 10-point DFT of x(n), and W (k) is the 10-point DFT of the sequence

7- Consider the sequence [] = [] + 2[ 2] + [ 3].


a. Find the four-point DFT of x[n].
b. Find part (a) using FFT.
c. Find the inverse of part (a) or (b). (Note: part a and part b have the same answer)
d. If y[n] is the four-point circular convolution of x[n] with itself, find y[n]and the four-point DFT Y(k).
e. With [] = [] + [ 1] + 2[ 3] , find the four-point circular convolution of x[n] with h[n].

8- Calculate 4-point circular convolution y[n] of the following two sequences:


x[n]=[3,2,1,0] h[n]=[0,1,2,3]
a. Using circular convolution law.
b. Using the relation between circular convolution and linear convolution.
