BRAHM IS THE PURUSH : -

All perishable objects are Adhibhuta (the field of matter); the shining Purush (Brahm) is
Adhidaiva; and I in this body is Myself, dwelling as the inner witness, am Adhiyajna ( the
unmanifest Divinity dwelling in the heart of a beings as their witness), O Arjuna!, said Lord
Krishna. [Srimad Bhagwat Gita: 8.4] The whole Adhyaatma/spirituality is the totality 0f Jivas
(beings) 0r embodied souls.

Sukta 10.90: - Purush Sukta Chhanda: Anushtup

{Purush signifies Soul residing in body/city of Devatas, Manu, Manushya, Rishis, and other
forms. Prajapati is Viraat.}
1) The Viraat (gigantic) Purush with thousand heads and thousand eyes has infinite feet. He
envelops Prathivi from all sides (like spherical Surya with infinite rays reaching all places by
its infinite radiations/feet), and is situated by increasing his size by a measure of ten fingers.
2) The past and present are represented in the form of Purush. As a primary cause for the
existence Pranies/breathing creatures and leaving aside the cause he is filled with magnificence
in the form of the universe as the supreme soul.
5) Viraat Purush was born from the Adi-Purush of antiquity. The Prana roop/breathing
form of Purush with the life force revealed himself from the body of the universe. They were
Manushya, Devataas, and so on as souls.
6) When the Devataas performed the mental Yagna with the help of the Purush form of
hearty Havya (material offered in Yagya), the wood represented Grishma Ritu/summer, Ghrat
(clarified butter) represented Vasant Ritu /spring season and Havya form of represented
Sharada Ritu/winter
7) Havi (oblations to Devataas) is offered to the one who is the first to be born (Purush) in the
mental Yagna. Then with the inspiration of these Purushaas, Devataas and Rishies organized
the ceremony of Yagna
8) Curdled milk, Ghrat and others were produced in this Yagna when Havi is offered to
Sarvaatma (overall soul) form of Purush. Then the creatures of the forests and domestic
creatures in the villages related to Vaayu Devata were created.
9) From the Yagna of the Sarvaatma Purush originated the Rig Veda and Saam Veda. Then
the Yajur Veda and the Gaayatri and other Chhandas were created.
10) Horses and other beasts, cows, goat and sheep revealed themselves from this Yagna.
11) Who were the different kinds of Viraat Purush born? Which are the aspects represented
by their hands, feet, thighs and mouths and other features?
12) The mouth represents Brahman, hands the Kshatriya, thighs the Vaishya and feet
represents Shudra.
13) Chandrama/moon was born from their mind, Surya from eyes Indraagni from mouth and
from their Praana/life force was born Vaayu.
14) From the head was created Swarga/heaven, Antariksh from the naval and Prathivi from
the feet, Lokas and directions were created from the Shrotra/ears/hearing power
15) Purush was accepted by the Prana form of Devatas at the time of mental Yagna. At the
same time the seven circumferences (limitations!) and the Samidhas (fuel used in Yagna) were
created.
16) Then the Devataas worshipped Purush by the mental Yagna and the Dharma based on
Gunas, enveloped the Sansaar/worlds. The good believers in Yagna attain the Swarga/heaven
in which the Devataas reside.
Note:
The meaning of Pura is a city and the body is referred to as the City of God in
Puranas and the Holy Bible

*******
The one who is described by the three Padas, is also the one having Param Pada of that
Viraat Purush [Yajur Veda 34.44; 6.5] that can only be acknowledged by the wise and learned
having the expertise in Karma Kanda, Gyan Kanda and Upaasana Kanda.
Just as the eye of one Surya/sun in singularity expands and spreads, the Param Pada glorifies
itself similarly.
According to Manu Smriti 2.123-129:
The Param Purush Paramaatma is the controller of the universe. He is the minutest
compared to the atom. He shines like Tej/radiant energy of Aaditya/sun. He has been given the
name such as the Rishis, Maharishies, Prajapati, Indra, Prana, and he is Brahm in reality.
