1. Describe the disagreement between Capulet and Paris in lines 1-19.


The disagreement between Capulet and Paris is that Paris is wanting to wed Juliet and Capulet
is telling him he needs to woo her gentle and earn her heart first, because in Capulets eyes
Juliet is his little girl and he cares for her that if she is to wed Paris he needs to win her heart
and let her decide if he is worthy of her or not.

2. What would cause Capulet to change his mind?


What would change his mind is if Paris wins Julilet heart then he knows that Paris is right for
her in so many ways but he has to see that in the beginning to know that he is worthy for his
young juliet.

3. Explain the metaphor Capulet uses in line 25.


The metaphor Capulets uses in line 25 Earth-treading stars that makes dark heaven light for
me this metaphor is meaning that girls who marry young grow up to fast, they are wed at such a
young age that they dont get the time that they get to actually grow up they just jump stright into
adulthood.

4. With what stipulation does the servingman present the party invitation to Romeo?
With having Romeo read the inviation out loud since he can not read so while reading that piece
of paper out loud he sees that the one girl that he is infatuated with will be going so he ends up
going.

5. Why does Benvolio try to convince Romeo to go to the party?


He trys to convince Romeo to go to the party because he wants him to stop being so sad and
also he tells him that maybe someone else is trying to get with the girl/woman that Romeo is
infatuated with.

The lines 95-100 is stating that his eyes play tricks on him and give him false images, but with
the fact that what he will be seeing might give him the wrong image, and make him understand
the wrong idea.

How shakespere uses humor in the lines 14-15 is by telling the reader or audiunce that she
done layed 14 teeth on the floor but she is not 14 that she should be married.

She believes that it is an honor that she does not dream of, she doesnt dream of marrying

The nurse describes Paris as a flower in faith as a flower and what she means his that he has
beauty and that is one of the reasons that Juliet should marry him.

The extended metaphor that Lady Capulet uses is that she wants Juliet to actually look at Paris
and see what she sees when she looks at him at the feast, she wants her to actually see him for
herself and see what happened after she sees him.

The nurse means when she jokes women grow by men is that women follow and grow around
the men, the world avolves around men and that women should follow men trough everything,
thier life grows around the men and they listen to the men basically the women dont really have
a real life.

Juliet agrees to just talk to him and meet him and see for herself what she thinks and that is it
nothing more, she has to look to see what she wants.
