Good after noon every body,

I know it is difficult to sit through a post lunch session like this, but I hope my
brief presentation on nanofluids will be of interest to you.

If some one gets curious about nano fluids, the first question that comes to
his mind is:

What are nano fluids?

The answer is, it is neither a homogenous true solution like sugar or salt
solution nor a heterogeneous

Mixture likes sand particles in water but lies between them. The size f the
particles is more than true solution but less than heterogeneous mixture.
They are called colloidal suspensions.

They exhibit Tyndall effect

When a narrow beam of light passes through nano fluid, the ability of nano particles
to disperse or scatter light is called Tyndall effect.

The size of colloidal particles varies between 10 -7 to 10-9 m

The dispersed particles defy gravity and under go Brownian motion. This zigzag
motion combined with ultra fine size of particles imparts special properties to the
base fluid

We come across different types of nanofluids in our every day life . we

drink nanofluids
We write with naofluids above all we live because of nanofluid .

Milk we drink , ink with which we write and the blood that flows In our body are all
nanofluids

The engineered nanofluids have specific type of nano particles

dispersed in a particular base fluid with additives if needed for a given application

The engineered nanofluids can be used as coolant ,lubricant and drug delivery
applications.

The material characterization of nano particles can be done by XRD, SEM, HRTEM
and TGA

Dear delegates/friends,

At the outset, I submit my pranams to lotus feet of revered

swamiji before we begin the present session of this international conference

It is prestige, privilege and honor for every one of us here to

participate in this international conference. I hope this conference will provide
strong platform for discussion and interactions for development of technology in
general and mechanical engineering in particular.

Friends we have with us today a distinguished personality among

us .

He is an excellent teacher, extraordinary researcher and above all a great human

being. He needs no introduction but as a custom I am happy to introduce Dr.
---------- to the gathering

Chair person bio data

I thank him personally and behalf of all of you for making it convenient to attend
this session in spite of his busy schedule

Thanking him once again ,now I request --------------------------------------- to deliver

invited talk
