Jessie was proactive before her time with me started, She came in to meet me and visit with the students, prior to her student teaching to introduce herself and find out a bit about the grade level Jessie has a positive and energetic personality. It was easy for her to build a rapport with the children. Her enthusiasm for each lesson spilled over to the children. She made each task fun and enjoyable for them. The children looked forward to each day they spent with her. She is already planning a future date to return and visit with the students From the first day, Jessie was an active participant. Instead of sitting and observing for the first week or two, she got involved working with the students. She has an innate sense of which students needed her throughout the day; whether itis to keep on task, to help with directions, or just give positive reinforcement. ‘The quality and complexity of her lessons took a lot of at home and before school preparation. Jessie would share her lesson plans with me before and after as she would reflect on the positive and growing points of each lesson. As she reflected on her instruction, Jessie leaned and grew even more efficient. Jessie always acted professionally. She sought our constructive criticism and grew from each experience. Her love of the students was evident in the way she would plan for them and how she would worry for them or share what she learned about them. 1am so fortunate that I had the opportunity to work with such a stellar, enthusiastic teacher.
