USES
AR - Acid Retarder FR - Fluid Recovery
AS - Anti-Sludge Agent LS - Low Surface Tension Additive
B - Bactericide MS - Micellar Solvent
C - Clay Stabilizer NE - Non-Emulsifier
D - Detergent/Dispersant P - Penetrating Agent
E - Emulsifier S - Silt, Fines Suspending Agent
EWB - Emulsion-Water Block Breaker US - Mutual Solvent
F - Foaming Agent
NOTES:
1. The surfactant may be completely soluble or dispersible in the aqueous or oil fluids.
Aqueous means water, brine, or acid. Oil means an aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons
or crude oil.
2. These are the wetting properties shown using the surfactants in water-oil systems.
However, the wettability characteristic may change from that shown in the table when a
combination of surfactants are used in a treating fluid.
