PROGRAMS
HEALTH
Providing quality health care access to those in the rural communities in the North
Central Zone of Nigeria is our primary target. The need for this critical intervention
cannot be overstated as majority of the people in the region live in underserved
communities with limited health care facilities. In some cases, people have to travel
for hours to city centers to get health care.
Aside being cut off from standard health care services, most of the people in rural
areas are not captured in the National Health Insurance Scheme, a program which
ought to provide healthcare guarantees to the public. The impact of this is felt in
high mortality rate and vulnerability among the Nigerian rural population.
Our goal therefore is to make standard healthcare available and affordable to those
in rural communities through:
The hospital will be completed and functional by the end of October, 2017. It
will provide essential social health care services to over 200,000 people in
the surrounding communities. Our goal is to make sure the Hospital is as
affordable as possible for the end users. This will be made possible through:
Peter Bawa and Anna Foundation undertook the renovated of the building
facilities and erected a gated fence. It also donated 3 beds, a generator set,
medical equipments and supplies worth over N10 million Naira to the
management of the Health Center. This intervention resuscitated the primary
health center, guaranteeing basic health care for the over 200,000 people
living in the community and environ.
