Understanding Interactions and Connections in Colonial Philippines
A. Conference Time and Venue

The conference will be on 05-06 October 2016, from 7am-6pm and 8am-5pm respectively. Participants are encouraged to come early and stay through out the
duration of the conference. The venue is UP NISMED, UP Diliman Campus, Quezon City. For your reference, kindly see these links:

B. Accommodation

The conference participants are encouraged to find their respective hotel/dormitory accommodations. As a guide, kindly see the attached list of hotels/dormitories
around and near UP Diliman.

C. Registration and Conference Materials

1. The conference is open to public and free of charge. The first 100 delegates that have been registered will receive the conference materials provided by the
secretariat. Conference materials include the conference ID, souvenir program, and book of abstracts. Food will also be provided (4 refreshments and 2 lunch
meals) for the two-day conference.
2. Those who wish to participate in the conference (but not included in the first 100 delegates), can attend the lectures as walk-in participants. The secretariat will
not provide materials and food, but a certificate of participation will be issued for them.
3. Upon arrival, participants should sign the attendance list and get their conference materials at the registration area. All participants are required to sign the
attendance for both days of the conference. Participants who fail to sign-up by 12 noon on 06 October will no longer receive the conference materials.
4. For any concern or question regarding the registration, kindly approach the head of the committee, Kerby C. Alvarez.

D. Program Flow

1. The conference will have plenary and parallel sessions. Plenary sessions will be conducted at the UP NISMED Auditorium, while parallel sessions will be held at
UP NISMED Auditorium and UP NISMED Seminar Room. Final program and schedule will be available on the day of the conference.
2. Plenary and parallel sessions are allotted 30 and 20 minutes respectively. An open forum comes after all session papers have been presented.
3. Refreshments and lunch will be served at the one of the walkways on the ground floor of UP NISMED. Only the first 100 delegates will be provided food and
refreshments. Delegates will be asked to present their conference ID.

E. Certificates

1. Certificates will be issued at the end of the last session, on the second day of the conference, 06 October 2016. Kindly approach the registration table for your
certificates.
