DAAD?

Considering the fact that I didnt get any scholarship, I plan to finance my studies and living
in Giessen primarily from my own resources and by the help of my best friend from Hagen
who works as a physician at the Munster univesity clinic. I would also apply for external
scholarship and in case I need I will find some propper part time job that will not interfere
with my academic duties.

Koje bih aktivnosti organizovao pri centru?

I would be glad to participate and even more to offer all my academic knowledge as well as
and PR skills in various activities of the Center, such as conferences, presentations and
similar. If I am offered the opportunity, I will try to be some kind of linkeage between GCSC
and its counterpart, the Center for Cultural Studies at The Belgrade Faculty of Political
Sciences, where I earned my MA degree.

At this centre, among other things, I was involved in organizing extra curriculum lectures,
given by prominent guest lecturers from other humanistic departments from the University of
Belgrade, as well as influential personas from cultural and artistic life of Serbia and region.

ta posle PHD?

I will be open for expanding my knowledge even more by specializing in some post-doctoral
area of studies. Furthermore, I am very interested in working in the academic environment or
in some cultural-oriented institutions.

Prednosti?

I am very diligent and hard working and also open minded in a sense that Im always open to
correct my previous beliefs and convictions when faced with relevant counter arguments. I
have good organisational skills and I know how to recognise and support the qualities of
others when working in a team.

Mane?

From time to time, I tend to lose focus when I learn and elaborate a particular field of my
academic interest, and sometimes I cant stick to a single or few topics or metodological
approaches that I use. But I firmly believe that studying in German academic environment,
which is famous for its accuracy and rigorosity, will cure me from this defect of mine.

There are several reasons why I chose Michel Foucault as the author whose ideas I would
analyze in my PhD thesis, and all of them are somewhat personal and intertwined. First of all,
it was Foucault who served for me as a trigger to become interested in post-moderrn (for the
lack of better term) theoretical streams of late 20th century academia. His profound insights,
writing style and lucid interpretation of historical data discerned him as a briliant scholar and
inspiring intelectual in my eyes.

Although Foucault dealt with quite a few theoretical concepts, I believe that body directly or
indirectly represents the core of his opus, both as the target of power in disciplinary practices
and as an object of knowledge. In spite of the fact that he owes a lot to his predeccessors in
this regard (especialy Nietzsche and Merleau-Ponty), Foucault nevertheless contributed
immensely in reafirming the notion of the corporal into modern theory.

That's a very interesting question, indeed. Well, during my study and explorement of the wide
archipelago of so called French theory and its prominent representatives, I noticed a strange
fact that they were not wholeheartedly (and sometimes, not even remotely) recepted and
respected in their homeland as I believe they should have. Anglophone and germanophone
intelectual scene happened to be more fertile ground for French authours' ideas to grow, to
have influence and be sistematically analyzed. That is one of the reason why I consequently
dismissed the idea to enroll in some French University (or at least, it was not my primary
option).

Without explicitly mentioning Foucault, I indirectly and seldom tried to read some aspects of
European anti-semitic discourses and practices through Foucauldian lense, despite the fact
that Foucault himself didn't engaged in that kind of analysy, even concerning the 20th
Century.

When I was exploring this topic and potential study programs that I may attend, I
stumbled upon GCSC site and its rich reading and video material. Concerning the
fact that I heard very remarks of the University 's activities, ambient and stuff
from a friend of a friend who studies here, I started to think more seriously about
choosing that path also.

I am currently reading some very interesting and useful books and articles that examine
Foucauldian ideas from different perspectives, such as Sloterdijk's insights in the (navedi
naslov one knjige Gocetove). I would also point out that I think I should examine and more

I don't believe any procedural problems will be an obstacle, since my best friend will deliver a
letter of guarantee for my staying in Germany. Since he has been working as a physician in
University Clinic in Munster for some time, I will stay at him for a while, until I found some
appartment closer to University of Giessen, be it dormitory or a private appartment.

12. Bavite li se nekim kolektivnim sportom (moda imaju neka meu-koledska takmienja i
sl.)?

I am just a passive, though passionate follower of football and basketball, but privately I
engage in individual sports, such as martial arts (I have a navedi zvanje in whin-chun , and I
even trained junior categories).

Actually, it was a fixed-term job that lasted 15 monhts. The company I was working for hired
me to replace their employee who was on her maternal leave (ili: hired me because they
needed someone to lead the project concerning development of their new web site and
establishing PR strategy, blabla).
