ItisenlighteningtoderiveanunderstandingofthemultifaithperspectiveoftheRSS,
beititsattitudetowardsBuddhism,IslamorChristianity.ThelatestCensusfigures
showBuddhistsat0.70percentoftheIndianpopulation,Muslimsat14.23percent,
Christiansat2.30percent.(WenowhaveacategoryofOthersthatdonotdeclare
theirreligioninCensusrecordswhichisat0.89percent).Despitethesefigures,the
RSSoutlinesMuslims,ChristiansandCommunistsasthreegraveinternalthreats.Not
supremacistormajoritarian,MrRamMadhav?

TheRSSonBuddhism
TheRSSonBuddhistsfollowsthesamepattern,castigationforbetrayalofthe
SanatanHindu,casteHindufaith.InSectionVIII,TheVisionofOurWork,Buddhists
areputintheirHinduplace.TheBuddhistAgetoohasthesamemessageforus.
AfterBuddha,hisfollowersheredegenerated.Theybegantouproottheageold
nationaltraditionsofthisland.Thegreatculturalvirtuesfosteredinoursocietywere
soughttobedemolished.Thelinkswiththepastwerehammeredaway.Dharmawas
atasaddiscount.Thewholesocialfabricwasbeingrenttoshreds.Devotiontothe
nationanditsheritagehadreachedsuchalowpitchthattheBuddhistfanaticsinvited
andhelpedtheforeignaggressorswhoworethemaskofBuddhism.TheBuddhistsect
hadturnedatraitortothemothersocietyandthemotherreligion."(Page72,MS

TheDeclaredRSSAim
Wearetobelieve,intheuniquenessoftheHinduRashtraconceptasoutlined
inBunchofThoughts,whereeretheprerequisiteisthatnotionsofreligiousminority
aregivenup.
Theanswertothesocalledproblemof'religiousminorities'canbefoundonlyinthe
historicallycorrect,rationalandpositiveapproachofHinduRashtra.Otherwise,theso
calledminoritiesareboundtobecomemoreandmorehardenedintheirseparate
shellsofreligionandturnintoadreadfulsourceofdisruptionofourbodypolitic.

So,allthatisexpectedofourMuslimandChristiancocitizensisthesheddingofthe
notionsoftheirbeing'religiousminorities'asalsotheirforeignmentalcomplexionand
mergingthemselvesinthecommonnationalstreamofthissoil.Asfarasthenational

ThreeInternalThreatssaystheRSS:Muslims,Christians,Communists
Inconsonancewiththissupremacistandhegemonicworldviewthatcompletelyignores
anystructuralinequalitieslikecastedrivenexclusions,withinIndiansociety,oreven
withinHindusociety,theRSSandthereforethecurrentIndianpoliticaldispensation
viewsthreesegmentstoIndiansasthreatstothenation.TheHindunationasthe
RSSseesit,hasthreespecificinternalthreats.Whoarethese?One,theMuslims
Two,theChristiansThree,theCommunists.Readon.

TheNationAndItsProblemsXVI.InternalThreat,1.THEMUSLIMS:Ithasbeenthe
tragiclessonofthehistoryofmanyacountryintheworldthatthehostileelements
withinthecountryposeafargreatermenacetonationalsecuritythanaggressorsfrom
outside...First,letustakethecaseofMuslims.....Eventothisday,therearesomany
whosay,"NowthereisnoMuslimproblematall.Allthoseriotouselementswho
supportedPakistanhavegoneawayonceandforall.TheremainingMuslimsare
devotedtoourcountry.Afterall,theyhavenootherplacetogoandtheyareboundto
remainloyal."

Eventoday,Muslims,whetherinhighpositionoftheGovernmentoroutside,
participateopenlyinrabidlyantinationalconferences.Theirspeechescarrytheringof
opendefianceandrebellion.AMuslimMinisterattheCenter,speakingfromthe
platformofonesuchconference,warnedthatunlesstheMusliminterestwaswell
protectedthestoryofSpainwouldberepeatedherealso,meaningtherebythatthey
wouldriseinarmedrevolt.ThisiswhattheRSSandbycloseorganisational
bondage,therulingpartytheBJPthinksofIndianMuslims

2.THECHRISTIANS:ManyleadingChristianmissionarieshaveoftendeclared
unequivocallythattheironesingleaimistomakethiscountry'aprovinceofthe
KingdomofChrist'.TheArchbishopofMaduraihassaid,asreportedinVedantaKesari
ofMadrasthattheirsoleaimistoflytheflagofChristoverthewholeofBharat.Even
duringtherecent"EucharisticCongress"atBombay,CardinalGraciasbewailedthat
aftercenturiesofproselytisinginBharattheCatholicswereonlysixmillionandthe

TheImpartialVerdict
Theiractivitiesarenotmerelyirreligious,theyarealsoantinational.OnceIaskeda
Christianmissionarywhytheyabusedoursacredscriptures,godsandgoddess.He
saidfrankly,"OuraimistoknockoutthefaithfromtheheartoftheHindus.Whenhis
faithisshattered,hisnationalismisalsodestroyed.Avoidwillbecreatedinhismind.

Itwasinasenseatragedy,thenthat18monthsaftertheNDAIIgovernmentwas
formed,noIndianelectronic(television)channelhasdaredtobelltheRSScatand
debateorquestionthecrucialissueofitsinherentantiConstitutionalfoundationals
whichhas(today)controloftheConstitutionalapparatus.Itisalsoafactthatsincethe
interviewerwasdirectanduncompromising,gladiatorial[4]ashehimselfhas
describedhisstyleoverthepastweek,elicitedthepredictableabusebytrollson
socialmediaoftheHindunationalist(sic)kind.Thishasjustfurtherdemonstrated
theirinabilitytorespectdissentanddebatetheinherentanddangerouscontradictions
betweenIndia,itsConstitutionandthefoundationalprinciplesoftheRSS.There
apparentlyremainsaninnateinabilitytotakeonboard,anyquestions,disagreements
