HighSchool

ACTIVITY: Anti-Bullying and Anti- Cyberbullying Campaign

TITLE: Break the bad habits that break the feelings of others.

OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the activity, 95% of the students will be able:

1. To be aware of the feelings of other students.
2. To let the students know that they speak up for themselves and also for others.
3. To let know that they can talk and share to their parents, teachers or the guidance
counselor their experience about bullies.
4. To raise public awareness and bring the Lasallian community around the issue of
bullying prevention.

MATERIALS:
Bond Paper
Pencil or pen
Video Clips of Anti-bullying campaign
PROCEDURE:
1. Watch the video clips.
2. On a bond paper, students will write negative comments they have received personally
from their classmates or other students or thru social medias (i.e., facebook, twitter,
instagram).
3. Students will then determine what is the effect of such comments to them, such as
whether or they adopted those messages and believed them to true.
4. Each student will briefly share what they have written on the paper with the class.

PROCESSING:
1. As a student, have you ever been bullied? Do you still experience it now? What are your
feelings or insights about the things that the bully say or do to you?
2. As a classmate or a student, have you ever been a bully? If not, have you seen
someone being bullied?
3. If you have been a bully, what do you feel or what are your insights about those negative
effects shared by your classmate? [What will you do?]
4. As the bystander or the one who was just watching the bullying, what do you think you
can do now for the victims of bullying?
INTEGRATION:
Bullying is a big issue in our society today. It is a widespread attitude that could harm,
physically or emotionally, other people. If no preventive measures will be adopted by the
community to stop such act of bullying, students might think that it is okay - that it is okay to hurt
others or that it is okay to make fun of them. Victims of bullying, personal, verbal or thru social
media, should know that they can open it up to their parents or teachers.

It is also important to let the bystanders know their role to those who are victims of
bullying because if the victims cannot speak up for themselves, they could have at least comfort
them or let such act be known to teachers.

thankful for. (i.e, Thank you Jesus for waking me up today.; Thank you mommy/daddy
for bringing me to school today., Thank you classmate for lending me your pencil.)
3. Then, the students will now write in the paper, who are the people they wanted to say
thank you or what are the things that they are thankful to have.

3. Do you vocally say thank you every day for those things or to those people who do good
things to you?
4. What are the insights that you gained with this one week activity?
5. In what other ways can you show gratitude?

INTEGRATION:
Gratitude is one of the most important characteristic a person should have. We must be
always thankful for the life we have, for the people around us, and for the things that we have.
Always appreciate what is around you; never take someone or something for granted.
Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for
what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for. - Zig Ziglar
