Logans Predicted Champion: Kansas Jayhawks

Although this pick may seem slightly bias, its hard to argue the Jayhawks have been a team on
a mission this year. Frank Mason III is the clear frontrunner to win several Player of the Year
awards and Josh Jackson has been arguably the best all around freshman this year. Not to
mention coach Bill Self is four years removed from his last Final Four appearance, and the
Jayhawks have a chip on their shoulder after last years crushing Elite Eight to the eventual
champion Villanova Wildcats. While their free throw shooting is less than great and they have
trouble defending the three-point line, Kansas has been the best overall team in the country
thus far. It also doesn't hurt that Louisville, the second seed in the Midwest, was upset by
seventh-seeded Michigan.

Chris Predicted Champion: Jayhawks

After losing to TCU in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament, Kansas was not looking too
good. However after almost two weeks of rest Kansas destroyed UC Davis 100 - 62. The
Jayhawks, after a slow start, came with their A game and beat Michigan State by 20. Compared
to the other teams left in the tournaments Kansas has the best chance. Frank Mason III, Josh
Jackson, and Devonte Graham have all led the team throughout the entire season and will for
the upcoming games. Players like Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk and Landen Lucas are stepping up to
the plate as well. Kansas has been able to open up their benches at the end of each game in
the tournament. With Nova out of the tournament, Gonzaga is the only team that Kansas could
lose to.

Jacobs Predicted Champion: Arizona Wildcats

Arizona is a more darkhorse pick, but I believe that they can win it all. Arizona has turned into
one of the best scoring teams in the country, as they average 76.7 points per game. But that
number has gone way up in the last 17 games, as their leading scorer Allonzo Trier came back
from an injury midway through the season, and has made Arizona a team hard to outscore.
Arizona is also a tough team to score on, as they are one of the top teams defensively, they
give up only 65.8 points per game to opponents. Seven foot center Lauri Markkanen, is also a
very crucial part to this team. He averages 15.8 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. He also has
an unbelieve shot at seven foot, as his 43% from three point range has drawn him comparisons
to Dirk Nowitzki. Arizona is going to be a tough team to beat, but they are going to have to beat
some really good teams to make it to the national title game, but I believe this team can do it.

Erics Predicted Champion: UCLA Bruins

The South Regional is arguably the toughest region by far. For instance you have a four loss
UCLA team as a three seed, five loss Kentucky as a two seed, and a seven loss North Carolina
as a one seed. UCLA should at least be a two seed in this region as they beat Kentucky at
Rupp arena in December. UCLA won their first game against fourteenth seeded Kent State by
17 and then sixth seeded Cincinnati by 12. The Bruins are led by the trio of freshman Lonzo Ball
(14.7 points per game), freshman TJ Leaf (16.2 points per game), and senior Bryce Alford (15.6
points per game.) Lonzo Ball is one of the four finalists for the Wooden Award, recognizing the
best player in Division I. Ball also averages 6.1 rebounds per game, and 7.6 assists per game.
The Bruins average a Division I best 90.2 points per game. Their defense ranks 255th out of
351 Division I schools (75.5 points allowed per game), but they can put up points in a hurry. If a
team is going to beat UCLA they are going to have to score a lot, and play tough defense for the
entire 40 minutes.
