Planet pacification is simply bringing the planet into a

state of peace in order that it may honor the worshiper
with its pleasentness. This will be detailed as you go

or more planets. This deficiency creates unpleasantness
for the person. This loka gives us an optimistic outlook
for reversing the deficiency of a planet in a horoscope.

This loka is self explanatory, but very significant. It is

reiterating the fact that the planets are the givers of
pleasantness and unpleasantness of all the offspring in
the universe. This is why Jyotish is such an important
science and one has to look at the planets to see the fruits
ones karma.

This is a very informative loka, for it clearly states that

you should perform worship of the planets if you want
things like intelligence, longevity, and all the other good
stuff in life. If you dont want such good things in life
then you do not have to worship the planets.

This loka is stating that the images can also be written While facing in the particular direction a mantra is also
on cloth and it suggests that it should be done by spoken. The mantras will be listed and detailed in this
Brahmans. Remember, a Brahman has a high capacity chapter.

Lastly, one should have fragrant food consistent with
each planet. The fragrances of the planets are listed
under the tastes of the planets in chapter three. The
fragrances are pungent, salty, bitter, varied, sweet, sour,
and astrigent in order from the Sun to Saturn. Use the
tastes of Saturn and Mars to apply to Rahu and Ketu,
respectively. Additional ritual injunctions are stated in
upcoming lokas of this chapter. The next nine lokas
detail the images of each of the nine planets. Much is to
be pondered why they look the way they do.

Fragrances and dhupa are the same as those listed above

listing the fragrances of the planets.
I assume the lamp would be symbolize in some way

toward the Sun, etc., but no direct details are provided in
the BPHS.
Guggulu is a particular substance that you burn like

incense.

[mentioned above] to the Brahmans or according to your
ability, what you have and according to ones practice.
Nothing needs to be rigid when worshiping the planets.
Simply the desire is very important.

you unpleasantness then you should worship the planet
per the particular instructions listed above in this
chapter. When you do this the planets will give you a
boon and you will become honored.

This loka gives the main reason why one should

worship the planets. Our rise and fall in life and the very
existence and non-existence of the world is dependant
upon the planets therefore we should worship them to
the best of our ability.
From this point on are listed the planetary mantras to the

planets Sun through Ketu. The literal meaning and
esoteric meaning of the mantras should be pondered.
