Gardeners tips
n Be bold when it comes to plant selection
and dont be afraid to make mistakes! If
a plant doesnt grow well, simply replace
it, or try again by growing it in a pot.
n Its not just about plants sprinkle sculptures
through the garden to enhance a certain theme or
to create a break among a sea of greenery.
n Learn what works for your garden if it
grows well, plant more of it. Grasses grow
particularly well, dont require much maintenance
and vary greatly in patterns and colours.
n Consider your building materials and how
they can add to the overall feel of the garden.
Paths can contribute to the sensory feel of the
garden, from the crunch of the gravel, to the

Cooks tips
Thai red curry paste
Pink eschalots can be found in
supermarkets, fruit and vegetable
stores and Asian food stores. They
are used throughout Asia in many
recipes, especially Thai food. To peel
them easily, put in a bowl and cover
with boiling water. Stand for 4
minutes, then drain. The skins will be
much easier to remove from the bulb.

Cooks tip
Korma curry paste
Fried shallots can be bought in
supermarkets in plastic containers
or sealed bags. If you wish to
make your own, half-fill a saucepan
with oil and put over a medium
heat. Add thinly sliced eschalots.
It is important to add the eschalots
to cold oil so they cook gradually,
turning golden. Using a slotted
spoon, remove from the oil and
transfer to a large plate lined with
paper towel to drain. Store in an
airtight container until needed.

In transit
Whether youre on a bus,

At lunch time
In your lunch hour, sit in a room
or park for up to 20 minutes and
meditate. Use a mantra or focus
on your breath coming in and out,
or download a guided meditation.
At your desk
Plug your headphones into your
computer, close your office door
(if you have one) and take a quick
meditation break to clear your
thoughts and refresh your mind.
There are countless meditation
websites and YouTube channels
that offer meditations to practise.
