REGULATION ORDINANCE NO. 2008-437

AN ORDINANCE NAMING THE ROAD FROM QUEZON STREET TO
QUIN BATERNA SUBDIVISION, DULONAN, AREVALO, ILOILO CITY
AS "DENILA ROAD"

WHEREAS, Article 21 (b) of the Rules and Regulations Implementing the Local
Government Codeof 1991 provides that the Sanggunians of highly urbanized cities may in
consultation with the National Historical Institute, change the name of the following within their
respective territorial jurisdictions: city and barangay roads, streets, avenues, boulevards,
thoroughfares and bridges;

WHEREAS, the National Historical Institute in its letter dated October 23, 2008
interposes no objection to the naming of the road from Quezon Street to Quin Batema
Subdivision, Barangay Dulonan, Arevalo as "Denila Road" for identification and record
purposes;

WHEREAS, by officially naming the aforesaid road to "Denila Road" it will also be
officially included in the records of the barangay, the City Assessor's Office, City Treasurer's
Office, the Philippine Postal Corporation and other concerned agencies.

WHEREAS, it is also a way of acknowledgement the act of generosity and liberality of

the late owners Leonardo Deni/a and Conrado Deni/a, by way of a deed of donation, donated
said lot to Barangay Dulonan for the development of the barangay.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of

Iloilo, in session assembled, that:

Section 1. - The road from Quezon Street to Quin Batema Subdivision, Barangay
Dulonan, Arevalo, Iloilo City is hereby named and shall be identified as "Denila Road";

Section 2. - The Office of the President of the Republic of the Philippines, the
Congressman, Lone District of Iloilo City, the Philippines Postal Corporation, National
Historical Institute, City Assessor's Office, City Treasurer's Office, Barangay Secretariat and the
Barangay Council of Dulonan, Arevalo be notified of this ordinance;

Section 3. - This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
