CONCLUSION QUESTIONS:

1. It is useful to categorize diseases because it helps them control the spread of

these diseases, and even how to treat them. By knowing this information, they can
control transmission among people.
2. If we had performed the transmission of syphilis, it would have to be person-to-
person contact, or through bodily fluids. If we were performing the transmission of
malaria, we would have to use a parasite, such as a mosquito, to perform it. The
methods of transmission would change.
3.
Bacteria: Wash your hands if you touch something someone that has the sickness, or disease.

Viruses: Prevent physical contact with an infected person.

Fungus: Prevent physical contact with a fungus, including anyone infected with fungus. Do not share
clothing with somebody who has a fungus. Wear proper protection at clean-up or construction
projects.

Protozoa: Try not to eat or touch anything contaminated and dont touch your mouth if you do do
this. In this case you want to wash your hands after touching anything contaminated.

Helminthes: Try not to touch anything that has feces in it, which can be considered a Helminthes.

Prions: Try to wear gloves during medical procedures.

4. Our next steps as medical detectives would have to be comparing the diseases
to the infection found in Anna Garcias urine. We would compare her symptoms to the
symptoms of these diseases. We would also hypothesize the method of transmission
and use that information to diagnose Annas infection.
