Step 1 - Go to www.autodesk.

com/academic website

Step 2 - Click on College and University Students tab:

Step 3 Scroll down & Click on AutoCAD:

Step 4 Click on SIGN IN >

Then Click here

Step 5 - Click on Need an Autodesk ID? :
Step 6 -

Enter all the required information.

Note: Password for Autodesk ID should have alphabets, numbers and special
characters. Password Length should be more than 8 characters.

Step 7 -

Terms and Condition:

First option is optional - If you wish to receive email regarding new products of
Autodesk click on the first option.

Second and third options are mandatory.

Click on Next.
You get the following message:

To activate your Autodesk account login to your email id, which you have
entered in step 6.
Check the mail sent from Autodesk in your inbox/ all mails.
Mail will be as follows:

Step 9 -

Click on SIGN IN >

Step 10: Click on SIGN IN >

Step 11 -

Enter the Autodesk ID and Password as you entered in Step 6:

Step 12 You will be in Autodesk website. Scroll down :

Step 13 Option shows that you successfully registered. Fill in option 2 as
shown below:

Take down the Serial no and product

key

Please Note: Do not click on INSTALL NOW, the downloaded file

AutoCAD_2015_STUDENT_VER.sfx is in AutoCAD 2015 folder in one of the
drives. Right click on the file and Run as Administrator. File extraction takes
places. Please wait till extraction is done.
Step 14 Once the Autodesk Extraction is done, Click on Install Tab :
Step 15: Select Country India.

Click on I Accept and Next:

Step 16- Enter the Serial Number and the product key, which was taken down or
check your mail for the same. Click Next :
Step 17 - Click on Install :
AutoCAD installation under progress:

Step 18 -Click on Finish Button :

Step 19: Restart the system.

Please Note: After the system restarts, Autodesk Licensing screen opens.

Step 20: Select the Autodesk Privacy Statement and click on I Agree button
Step 21: The System verifies the Autodesk license , if successful AutoCAD screen
will appear (step 23).

Step 22: If the Step 21 is not successful Please try the below process:

Click on Activate
If you get the above error , close the above message.

Check your mail for the activation code.

Click AutoCAD icon on the desktop . Step 21 & 22 repeats

Copy & paste the activation code received in your email.

Click on Next
Step 23: Click on start drawing template

Following Page will be loaded once you have successfully installed AutoCAD
2015.
