Assalamualaikum wbt and a very good afternoon, to our

honourable guests, En. Dahlan b. Mat Ali, English Language

Supervisor, Language Department of JPN Perlis, En. Saiful Zairi,
the President of Parents Teachers Association of STB, the panel
of senior assistants, all English teachers, teachers and my
beloved pupils.

First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to the

Al-Mighty Allah for His blessings, we are here today.

Congratulations to all the winners in the activities held this

morning.

I am very proud and happy to see this program has been run
smoothly and successfully by all the teachers especially the
English Language teachers of STB. I am very happy indeed to
see the involvement of the pupils in this program. I am certain
that every one of you had a great fun today. Am I right?

As the Headmaster, I really hope that this program will be

organised as an annual event. I am aware that, it is not easy to
organise a big program which involves all teachers and pupils.
Thus, a strong teamwork is very much needed as well as high
commitment among the teachers.

As far as Im concern, English Language is not everyones

favourite subjects. Only few of the pupils who enjoy English
subject. Therefore, one of the reasons why this program should
be organised is to create the interest among our pupils in
learning English. It is the teachers roles to provide such
interesting and exciting ways in learning the language. Hence,
again I would like to congratulate all the English teachers for
the hard efforts they had put in making this English Fun Day a
success.

Since English is considered difficult by most of our pupils, they

refuse to give focus in the classroom or during the formal
classes. Thus, this program is hoped to provide them an
informal fun learning to cater their needs and interest. Pupils
will get engaged in the learning process especially when they
find it different and joyful.
Last but not least, I hope that, this kind of program should be
carried out by other subjects too. Let this English Fun Day be
the first but not the last. I hope there will be Hari Bahasa
Melayu or Sejarah or Sains or Matematik and so on.
