Think about the two cultures of Pablos parents.
Now write a paragraph telling why jalapeno bagels
are special to Pablo. Be sure to include facts and

In this paragraph I will use details from the
story to tell why jalapeno bagels are special to
Pablo. Pablo learns how to make pan dulce,
empanadas de calabaza, and chango bars from his
mothers Mexican culture. He learns how to make
bagels and challah from his fathers Jewish culture.
Jalapeno bagels use ingredients from both cultures.
That is why jalapeno bagels are special to Pablo.
